Today is my older brother’s birthday. When we were kids we use to walk downtown to buy what we called penny candies (a.k.a. footsies tootsie rolls). I remember one birthday my brother bought me 200 of them. I thought it was the best gift ever. I made him this gift bag sporting Norman Goat and filled it with delicious penny candies to go along with his gift. I’m the second oldest so he’s the only one I can tease about being an old goat…plus I just wanted to use Norman. I real dig him.

I love Lili of the Valley stamps and when they had free shipping a couple weeks ago I couldn’t help myself. I’ve wanted this stamp ever since it came out and couldn’t wait to color Milly and her sweet pets up. Isn’t the paper from Simple Stories fabulous!? Wish I could remember where I picked it up to get get more.

Off to get ready to go out to dinner with the girls. Three nights in a row my husband has had the kids. He’s the best. It’s been like a vacation.

Strawberry Shortcake Invitation- Custard the Cat

My daughters fifth birthday is this week and here is the invitation I designed for her Strawberry Shortcake themed party. The invite is shaped like Custard, Strawberry Shortcake’s cat. I took a photo of the coloring book I used to help me design it on the bottom. Not everyone knows who custard is but my SIL and I had already done a strawberry shaped invite here. I’m not the type of person to do things the easy way so I designed something new. I think it took a total of 4 cartridges pieced together in Design Studio to make. Her party is tomorrow and I am nowhere near ready. I better get to it!

Today I have one sad little photo of a bag of treats I snap while running out the door. I seem to always be running late. That “always” isn’t an exaggerating either.

The sentiment is from High Hopes and the watermelon cuts are from Simply Charmed (Cricut cartridge).
