I started 4 of my Christmas gifts back in September (I’m still not finished). I bought these boxes to put those projects in. I have to have one of them mailed to Vegas by Christmas or they’d probably still not be finished. I thought it would be a small project. In fact I dubbed today craft day and had a ton of projects I wanted to work on. I was up until two a.m. waiting for my husband who went to paint alone because we couldn’t find a babysitter. I haven’t had much time to craft it up and I was tired and lazy- that’s why I dubbed today craft day. Confession- it’s 4:00 p.m. and my child and I are still in our PJ’s. I love days like today.
About the boxes! They took me so long because of the distressing. If you give me the option to distress or not to I’ll go with distress every time. I think it makes the project look more finished. I used my Martha Stuart punch for the lace sides. I was going to line the lid with buttons but decided with 4 boxes I’d be using my whole supply. Maybe someone else can use my idea.
