On to my Practical Scrappers DT card. The challenge is to use seven or more items on your project. I used this cute little reindeer from Create-a-Critter. The city is from Paper Doll Dress Up and the snow has been embossed using the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder. Add some thread, bells, ribbon, and metal sentiment and there you have seven things.Other projects you might like:

This weeks Practical Scrappers challenge is to use something you’ve had in your stash for over a year. I used my New Arrival cartridge. One of those things I had to have that I hardly ever use…though I have been getting the Cricut bug lately. I made 2 simple cards on kraft cardstock. I’ve never used kraft before and wanted to try it out. If you saw these photos without my watermark I don’t think you’d link the cards to me.

The sentiments are a rub-on and I cut out extra pea pods so that I could make the front 3D. I inked added a few buttons, inked the edges, and there you go.

Here’s my first design team card for More Paper Than Shoes Forum. The challenge is “summer”. My card is about as summery as you can get. It’s been getting hot around these parts. Yuck! I prefer jacket weather all the way. I’m wishing for some beach front property at the moment. Wish i had Penelope’s chicken legs too.

I’ve had these in my head for so long and have been slowly working on them. When I saw this weeks Fabulous Cricut challenge I just had to finish them to enter. The challenge is “cool yummy treat.” There aren’t any cooler treats then ones that have Mickey attached. Of course they match my Mickey invitations as well. I will be removing them from my site soon and offering them only through my etsy shop. I have so many ideas in my head that I just haven’t had time to create so I want to limit the amount I offer. Of course these yummy cutties are in my etsy shop as well. I made the cupcake toppers the same on both sides. Next time I’m going to leave the buttons off on one side so it’s him backend but I didn’t think about that until I’d already made this set.

You see this robot? He’s from the Robotz cartridge I’ve had on my want list that I recently scratched off. I love new cartridges! This particular robot keeps mocking me. I’ve started making him into a card multiple times and he just won’t cooperate! My husband also doesn’t like the half pearls detail. I thought they looked like bolts. So frustrating. Maybe he doesn’t want to be a card…

I also just finished what I thought was my DT Practical Scrappers card which is due today for next weeks challenge. Guess I looked at the wrong dates cause I now have my card done for two weeks away. It wouldn’t be a big deal if I didn’t have a “to do” list a mile long. I also have been eyeing some great bar chairs, finally saved up enough, and just spent the majority of it on 3000 white buttons. I about wept. A girls got to do what a girls got to do.

Anyway, enough of my complaining. My Practical Scrappers card turned out adorable so I should be thrilled. The winner of the High Hopes stamp (Albert’s Gift) never claimed her prize. So we’ll draw again…
