Lisa’s Handmade Cards

There are so many babies that have just arrived or are about to come. Last night I whipped out my New Arrival cartridge. It has so many adorable cuts that I just have never used before. I have so many more I can’t wait to cut out and ink up! The sentiment I stamped years ago using one of my mothers stamps. I believe it is a Inkadinkado but don’t quote me on that. The patterned paper is from BasicGrey.

I made this Thanksgiving turkey card following the challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot (give thanks). I used the Tiny Bubbles embossing folder on the feathers. The stamp is from Inkadinkado and the turkey patterns is from myscrapchick.

I felt bad for neglecting my Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils so I pulled them out today. The image is another Forever Friends. I followed the sketch from Weekend Sketch Challenge. I just found their site and hope to enter as often as I can. I love to know what my layout will look like before I get started on a card so I find these sites very helpful. Usually I wing it. The patterned paper I used is by My Mind’s Eye. I also used my cuttlebug. You’d think swiss dots is the only folder I have. It’s my favorite and seems to go with everything so it definitely gets the most use. I even tried to use a different folder for this card but it just didn’t float my boat. Sorry, I’ve been busy. Thought I’d hurry a do a quick post before heading off to church. The paper pieced turkey on the front is one of my favorites. All the paper piecings on this card I designed. The “Got Turkey?” stamp is from Inkadinkado. I have the card making bug again but have been holding out for my new markers to arrive in the mail. They should be here any day now. I have a few new stamps on the way too!! I am very excited. I have never embellishments I’m dying to try out as well. Spoiled me. As soon as my markers arrive I’ll be making cards galore. Stay tuned!!

I finally got to it and jump started my Father’s Day card making. The “D” is from the Blackletter cartridge. I used the Script Cuttlebug folder to emboss it.  The stamped letters to spell out DAD are from Inkadinkado. The patterned paper is called “School Days” and the solid paper is bazzill. The stamped dogs are by Penny Black. The collars are stickled. I think that’s it.
