Yes, I realize my hedgehogs are bustin’ their moves in the wrong order. I don’t know if it really matters (does it Liza?). They are doing some extra fancy freestyle.

The image (they are all from the same stamp) is from Penny Black called Ecarte, Splits, Pirouette. The polka dot patterned paper is by Pebbles and the CS is bazzill. The striped paper is from a Imaginisce sparkle paper pad called For Peep’s Sake.

One of these days I’ll make a card before midnight so I have some light to photograph in. I hope…

Project #7

My sweeter than sweet SIL Marianne gave me some Close to My Heart paper that is covered in jean pockets. I’ve been trying to think of a good project to use it for. The current contest at Bitten by the Bug 2 is to use any Valentine’s Day cut. I didn’t want to just stick a heart on a card and call it good so I came up with the idea of lots of hearts on a card, lol. I cut one of the jean pockets off the paper and made it into a pocket with a pull tag Valentine. Half of the hearts are embossed using my Cuttlebug. The stamped hedgehog is from Penny Black. I’m also entering this card at Caardvarks (red heart), Simon Says (punch it- half of the hearts are from a punch), Practical Scrappers (embossing), and Crafty Creations (Valentine’s of Love).

I love Valentine’s Day. It was the one holiday my father decorated for when I was a kid and it is close to my Anniversary. A special time of year most definitely. The heart paper is by S.E.I., the rabbit stamp is by High Hopes, and the sentiment is by Penny Black. I used my Cricut (George and Basic Shapes) to cut out the heart and my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder to emboss it.

Please do not copy any of my work you find here on my site. I take a lot of time coming up with ideas and putting them in to action. I’ve come across some copycat work that is said to be the users own design and/or patterns. Geeze, at least give me credit! It’s very rude., very rude indeed. Please be inspired by my work- just don’t steal it.

I finally finished my first round of baby thank you cards. I had multiple ideas so I decided to make three different designs. I hope to get the others done soon. I used a Penny Black stamp.

I’ve been debating whether or not to make my own Christmas cards this year or to cop out like last year and just buy them. I have a excuse this year since I am having a baby…at least a lame excuse. Buying printed cards with a family picture on them are just as good, right? They are at least cheaper and don’t cost extra to mail. I am constantly making cards, dreaming about cards, thinking of ideas for cards… There are so many stinking cute Christmas stamps and diecuts that I just wouldn’t feel right if I cop out two years in a row! I’ve sold all the other cards I’ve made up until this point but no more! Suck it up baby and get to it! Like it’s a chore to do something you love.I think I just overwhelm myself by thinking of everyone and their dog I “should” send a card to. (BTW, I sent out a total of two Halloween cards. Sad.)
