This weeks Squigglefly challenge is to use some shiny embellishments. I chose this image from Wintry Pack (6 images) by artist Sue Farias. I added some stickles and rhinestones to achieve the shine I was looking for. I then used pop-up dots to make them stand out.

If you haven’t checked out the Squigglefly new released images you must! They are all fantastic! I want them all…

The polkadot paper is from American Craft and the other two patterned papers are from Pebbles Inc.

In other news, have you checked out Whipper Snappers new release? There are some fantastic ones…

squigglefly 010

Project #20

I made this card for one of my most fabulous friends. It’s for this weeks Squigglefly challenge- fun borders. This week I used another Crissy Armstrong image called Oswalda Goes Shopping. Isn’t Oswalda just fabulous? lol, I love all of Crissy’s images!

The patterned paper is by Sassafrass and the card stock is from bazzill. I used my Martha Stewart border punch, some stickles, and pop up dots. I also tried a new technique (at least for me) and sponged around my image. I need some practice but think I’ll do so more often.

Anyway, check out the other DT ladies fab cards (have you noticed “fabulous” is my favorite word yet?) and join in the Squigglefly challenge!

Project #15

This weeks challenge at Squigglefly is to use an animal image. I used Doggie Pile by artist Crissy Armstrong. I adore all her images. I love how this card turned out. It’s lacking some embellishment flair but nothing seemed to fit right. So, here it is plain and fabulous. Check out the other DT girls cards too and join in the challenge!

The pattern papers are by Doodlebug. I used my cricut, sewing machine, cuttlebug, and Nestibilities too.

I’m entering this card into this weeks contests at Crafty Cardmakers (digital delights), CRAFT Challenge (digi coloring) and the ABC Challenge (N is for new- the image is new).

Project #11

This weeks Squigglefly challenge is to do a mostly white card with lots of sparkle. This was a true challenge for me. I used a digi sentiment from artist Nina Brackett. I cut two hearts out from felt, sewed them together, and stuffed it. I didn’t think to show a side photo so that you could see that. The patterned paper is from Sassafras. I embossed my card with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.

Every Monday Squigglefly has a new challenge. There’s a prize now given every week!  The prizes will vary from free images to goodie bags. A Squigglefly image does have to be used to be eligible for a prize.

I’m entering my card into the following challenges as well-

Frosted Designs- embossing

squigglefly- willow

Project #6

This weeks challenge at Squigglefly is clean and simple and add some blue. I think clean and simple is a hard challenge to do but I did my best. I used the image “Willow” by artist Richard Davis. Check out all the other DT cards. Debby made a rooster card that is to die for. :) Join in on the challenge to win a free image!
