I am back from my Disneyland family vacation and sooo ready to craft it up. I made this card using a free digi from Lily-Boo’s Boutique. The pattern paper is from Scenic Route. The balloons and ladybugs are 3D. I went a little crazy with embellishments. I guess I was a little overly excited.

Vacation & New Challenge Blog & Organization

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

I’ll be on vacation January 29th through February 7th. Today is the last day I’ll be accepting any invitation orders until I return. Also, Imagination Movers invites are on hold right now. Our computer crashed and took the cut files along with it. After vacation I have a lot of new invitation ideas I’ll be posting so stay tuned!

I have quite a bit I am trying to accomplish before leaving so please forgive me if I am lacking on posts the next few weeks. I have so many projects I want to work on and so many challenges I want to participate in but no time. Speaking of challenges, there is a new challenge blog starting on February 25th called Marianne Design Challenge Blog. I have already added it to my sidebar.

They are offering this blog candy for spreading the word. I’ll spread the word about any new challenge blog. You know how I love my challenges! :) This particular blog is in Dutch and English and is open to all.

In other I-like-to-bite-off-more-than-I-can-chew news, I am trying to get my house back in order after the leaky pipe disaster and organize my craft room to fit in my husbands desk and computer so my newborn can have his own room. I thought about taking a before pic of the craft room disaster area but didn’t want to give anyone nightmares.

I am slowly getting organized. Here are a few of my brads, eyelets, and buttons. I’ve been researching ways to organize and I’ve seen some amazing craft rooms photos of ladies who have special rooms build just for them. Some day my friends, some day. Until then I am being creative on a small budget and excited to actually spend less time searching for what I need and more time creating. I still need some paper storage, somewhere to display my stamps, and someway to sort all my other larger embellishments. Any suggestions are welcomed. …well, back to work! Thanks for stopping by!!

50 Scrap Projects Challenge

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

A fellow paper craft lover just sent out a challenge that I’ve decided to join in on. Bree at Artsy Fartsy Scraproom is challenging herself and anyone who wqants to join her to make 100 scrap projects using only your stash. Well, I am a great collector of all things paper craft fabulous but I don’t think I can do a full 100 so I’m challenging myself to do 50. My craftroom is busting at the seams as it is. My husband says this will force me to think outside the box and be more creative as well. He thinks I play it safe too often. Let’s hope he is right. Adhesive is not included in the no spending challenge. I also have to be able to purchase supplies for the invitations I sell so they are excluded as well.

I want to thank everyone for checking out my work. Friday I reached a new record with 710 hits! Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to know ya’ll are stopping by.

Yesterday was my little sisters birthday. I did my best to make her a card with the limited supplies I have at the moment. She likes purple and elephants so I went with those. The image is a free digi I found. I am not on my own computer so I don’t have the info on where to find it. :( I’m so sorry. I hope she likes it.

I won top three on a contest this week at Practical Srcappers. It was my button Christmas ornament card that I entered. I’m happy to know someone else enjoyed it’s fabulousness. :)
