I simple treat jar birthday gift. I bought the jar at Ikea. I then made the flowers using my Cuttlebug and Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die. The stamped sentiments are from Penny Black. Sorry, short post again. Too much to do today. Other projects you might like:

My youngest sister-in-law just received her acceptance letter to college. To congratulate her fab accomplishment I got her this little pencil (or in this case pen holder) from Ikea. I then filled it with kisses and some of my favorite pens. To finish it off I made a tag and a flower headband that I wrap around it to give it some oomph.

I was put in charge of making the invitations for our Young Women’s New Beginnings program. The direction I got was to “use a balloon”. Hot air balloons tie in with our decor ideas so that’s the direction I went with. We are the last ward of the day so we just delivered them to the girls at church. They were a bit time consuming (we only have 16 YW)but the girl’s reaction to them was completely worth it. Of course then the girls found out balloons freak me out so I’m sure some pranks will be coming my way soon. Love you girls! And yes, I will get you back.

A couple photos of the decor. I didn’t do a lot of it. My friend Bre was the go getter-done-er. The clouds are cut from Create a Critter. The lanters were sprayed to get the value colors with a craft spray ink.

It may not be the prettiest craft room you’ve ever laid your eyes upon but it’s clean and organized. That was the goal and to do it for cheap was a must. The shelves were purchased from IKEA and the pegboard from Amazon. Everything else I either already had, took from another room of the house, or thrifted.

Here’s a small visual of what it looked like before.I don’t want to scare anyone too much.

Errrr, yes. Let’s just say it didn’t get used much. The kitchen table was my crafting spot of choice. The craftroom/office is the catch all room of horror that always had it’s door closed when company arrived.

Embellishments. Container was purchased off of KSL classifieds.

Fabrics and thread.

Buttons. They use to be organized by color in the little drawers until I was given this tin for Christmas (filled with lotions from my hubby). My mom had a round tin of buttons when I was a kid that I loved to play with. Now I have one of my own that my kids love to sort through too.

Copics by color family. Crate was purchased at D.I.

Pattern paper and cardstock I use for card making organized by color on the bottom. The papers on top are for invitations.

Pegboard (Amazon). The little basket holding cards was thrifted. I still need to figure out a better place for my cartridges. If you see in the first photo (or the photo on the bottom) they are just stacked below this and you can’t see the name of them.  It’s not hard to pull them out but it’s kind of a pain. The little pink holder beside it is all my embossing folders.
