BBQ Bear Card(s)

I colored these bears over a month ago. I’ve had all the papers cuts out for over two weeks. I finally took the few minutes to sew them together. Lazy, that’s what I am. L-a-z-y.

I’ve had a couple ladies on etsy ask me to make a second card to list. That way there is one to keep and one to give away. I am the same way with stamps. If I’m going to give one away I have to buy two. I’ve been trying to do so (make two identical cards) but it’s difficult! I’m either too tired after one, mess up on something on one, or don’t have enough supplies to make two. I didn’t give up though and I finally succeed.

I’m entering this card into the following challenges-

Allsorts- summer days

Lexi’s Creations- stitching

The Crazy Challenge- hip to be square

Congrats Bear Card

I’m kind of on a bear kick. I have really had the urge to work on holiday cards too. Don’t be shocked when I whip out some Halloween and Christmas projects this month. They are calling my name. I want to pull out some oldie but goodie stamps too. Where to find the time?

Hope everyone had a fantastic day on Saturday or yesterday…or today. Whenever you’re celebrating the 4th. It’s kind of nice having a three day holiday. We’ve celebrated everyday so far and have one more BBQ this evening. We missed the fireworks thought because it was too cold and this mom didn’t plan for it. I didn’t want my kids to both end up sick.

Thanks for stopping by and listening to my ramblings! Oh ya, I’m also on the More Paper Thank Shoes forum design team. They found my work through my etsy shop and asked me to join. She flattered me into it. ;) Just kidding, I’m excited. I love challenges where you can use anything and everything.

One more day to enter to win this stamp too!

I finally was able to finish this cards twin. I kinda like the bear in a darker shade. My husband even said he liked it without me asking him. It earns major points for that! I finally ordered a custom stamp with my logo too. Woohoo! I’ve wanted one since I had my logo made by Lucky Jane Designs. No more seeing my cards listed on e-bay labeled as someone elses work. It feels good.

I have a card started for this weeks High Hopes challenge but I had to stop to go work in the yard and now it’s time to get ready for some Fourth of July fun. Hopefully I’ll have time after the fireworks.  Hope everyone has a great Fourth!

I also forgot to mention my blogging buddy Michelle of Stamps, Paper, Scissors, and Donkey Smiles. Michelle had an unfortunate accident while taking care of her donkeys and lost her right eye.

Stampavie has set up an account via paypal where donations can be made to help Michelle with the expenses of surgery and eventually an artificial eye. Tina Wenke has designed this incredibly cute digital image as a thank you for your donation to help Michelle.
