I tried a new inking technique (at least for me) on this card. I was going to take a class on it in April but think I’ll save my money. I didn’t do to bad for my first time…at least in my humble opinion. Ahem. Moving on…

The chick is High Hopes Lil’ Chirp and the egg-stra special sentiment is from High Hopes as well. The eggs are a punch, the cardstock is Bazzill swiss dots, and the spring paper is from DieCuts with a View.

This is my favorite of the two Easter cards listed today. I didn’t overdo the brads this time. Both stamped images are from Inky Antics. The eggs are stickled and 3D. I finished one new paper piecing today and have another started. I’ll post them for you tomorrow.

I finally finished my Easter layout. I’ve been sick for a few days and haven’t felt like being crafty. That never happens to me. It was a very strange feeling. I used Doodlecharms for the basket, Home Accents for the flower vines, and Making the Grade for the “easter” letters. Everything else is hand cut out. Of course it isn’t as fabulous as I pictured it- none of my pages are- but it will do. Oh ya, I went a little crazy with the sewing machine too!

Here is a little sneak peak at the Easter layout I’m working on. I had so many adorable double-sided Easter patterned papers I wanted to use that I decide, why not!?! I chopped them up and made my own base paper to mat everything else on. I’m pretty excited about how straight my lines are. Now if only I can keep it up. You know when you have this great idea in your head and then when you put it on paper it isn’t as fabulous as you imagined it would be? I’m trying to avoid that at all costs. Wish me luck.
