I made this card for a fabulous top notch friend who is having a birthday tomorrow. …it’s going to be a little late. Happy Birthday Ricky! I locked myself and my family out of the house yesterday for the second time. I swear I am loosing it. I left my key in the house and my husbands key was at the shop with our one and only car. Thank goodness we have family that lives close! We stayed at family members houses for two days while waiting for our car. It was a relaxing but now I’m way behind on my crafting/orders.

Anyway, all the patterned papers and brads are Bo Bunny (thanks Marianne!). I used cuttlebug folder Perfect Paisley and Swiss Dots. Gavin the Givin’ Dragon stamp is from High Hopes. The sentiment is a rub-on.

Challenges entered-

I followed the sketch at Moving Along with the Times.

High Hopes challenge is to add texture.

SophistiCat Challenge is embossing.

Stamp with Fun’s challenge is stitching.

Project #3

This is High Hopes Matchmakin’ Maynard. Isn’t he fabulous!?! I colored him on watercolor paper with my Prismacolor markers which wasn’t the best idea. I’ll have to ink him up again soon. I think he still is pretty fab. The polkadot paper is BoBunny and the main pattern is Sassafras.

I am entering him into the following challenges-

High Hopes- put a bow on it

Cute Card Thursday- something new (Matchmakin’ Maynard was in my Christmas stocking)

Cupcake Craft Challenge- Going Girly

This is my second post for the day so please scroll on down for my early card.

It’s High Hopes Challenge time! This weeks challenge is to go green and recycle. I took apart some silk flowers from a wreath for my recycled item. The dragon is stickled and him and his buddy the blue bird are 3D. The saying is computer generated. On the inside I embossed the work “thanks” with my cuttlebug and used sandpaper to make it more noticeable.
