<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">A Christmas tradition for my family is making gingerbread men/houses every year. (<em>We will be making the houses in a few days and I’ll post them</em>.) One year when I was away to school I made these little guys for my roommates (all 13 of them) and the group of guys we hung out with. I decorated them with frosting of all colors and made them to look like the receiver- big project but tons of fun. Today I just shaped and baked.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">Here is the recipe. We triple it for the houses and then cut them out.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"><strong> Gingerbread Men</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>1/3 cup shortening</li>
<li>1/3 cup brown sugar</li>
<li>1 egg</li>
<li>2/3 cup honey</li>
<li>2 ¾ cups flour</li>
<li>1 teaspoon baking soda</li>
<li>1 teaspoon salt</li>
<li>2 teaspoons cinnamon</li>
<li>1 teaspoon ginger</li>
</ul>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">Combined. Shape a ball for the head and two “snakes” for the legs and arms then bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">Side Note: My husband hates that I center the text so I&#8217;m going to try it his way for a little while. <img src='http://lisashandmadecards.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
