Alice in Wonderland Birthday Invitations

It’s my daughter Mallory’s 3rd birthday this week. We are having an Alice in Wonderland themed party (encase you couldn’t tell). I so very fancy planning kid’s birthday parties and believe the invite is most important. How else do you get your guests excited about coming? Check back after the 10th and I’ll having Alice in Wonderland party decoration ideas too.

I used the Cricut and Design Studio as well as hand drew, cut, and paper pieced some of the pieces myself.

I also posted my invite on the Cricut website. You can see what the ladies are saying about it here.

Project #4

On Wednesday it was my nieces birthday. She turned one and had a berry party. The top dress shaped card is what I made to go with her gift. The bottom strawberry shaped card is the invitation. Alyson, my SIL, came over and we crafted together. Double the amount of fun. I cut out the dress using my Cricut (Happily Ever After cartridge) and she cut out the strawberry using her Silhouette. The strawberry is then embossed using swiss dots and has a pocket on the back to hold the invite. She is a very creative girl. I wish her site wasn’t down at the moment so I could link to her work. She makes hair bows and jewelry too. My absolute favorite is her Mickey bows. The cutest I’ve ever seen, seriously. Anyway, thank you Alyson for letting me share your invite!!

My daughter turns two in two weeks. These are the invitations for her party. I used the Mickey Font Cartridge for the “M” and the Mickey head. The pictures were taken by our dear friend Tiffany. The invitations information is on a trifold. They all fit in the pocket (Mickey’s pants).

My plan was for the invitations to be a pull tag but the info would have been too small. So, I made a pull tag with another pocket Mickey Mouse for a scrapbook layout. I used the adorable Mickey head eyelets that I bought on our last trip to Disneyland and bought the polka dot ribbon at Robert’s. It was actually hard to find the large white buttons too. I bought them in the sewing section at Wal-mart.

If you are looking for more Mickey/Disney birthday party ideas, stay tuned. I’ll be posting more in two weeks.
