I’ve been putting this layout off for awhile now. I didn’t want to overdo it but I didn’t want to underdo it either. I hope it turned out alright. It’s for some dear friends of mine. You can find the paper piecing zoo animal patterns here. I am getting rusty on scrapbook layouts. I need to start doing them more often. I’m getting burnt out of the paper piecing. I need to take a break for a while. I always go through stages so I’ll come back around soon I’m sure.
The patterned cardstock is from Imaginisce and the patterned paper is a Karen Foster Design. The orange striped photo-mat is from the fabulous DCWV Animal Crackers Matstack. My SIL was just showing me her All About Boys stack. I must have it! Cute boy paper is not easy to find! The matstacks are a great stocking stuffer (hint, hint to my husband).

Over at Practical Scrappers this week the challenge is to use at least three stickers. I started this first Christmas layout about a week and a half ago but it was just too plain for my taste. I was thankful for the sticker idea. I think the snowflakes add just what I was lacking. I paper pieced the Santa and the penguin. “1st Christmas” are rub-ons and the ribbon has a cute hat charm. I’m stuck on charms right now. I’ll be doing a charms blog candy giveaway as soon as all the charms I’ve ordered arrive in the mail. Stay tuned for that excitement.

This is a 12X12 layout I did of my daughter on one of those days when she just wouldn’t take a nap. “Nap Time” is cut out using the Mickey font cartridge. The bear is paper pieced. I loved how this little bear turned out and decided to give one of them away. Along with the paper pieced bear I’ll mail you a few other paper piecings I’ve done as well. To enter to win the GIVEAWAY just leave a comment. I will e-mail and announce the winner on Monday (July 6th). I plan to give more of my paper pieced work away in the future.
Thanks for checking me out!
