I am amazed I finished this card in time for Meljen’s Designs second challenge, girly colors. My daughter decided to lock herself in her bedroom while she was supposedly in her bed. My son decided he was starving for the tenth time today and my dead line was quickly creeping up on me. It’s been a busy and super crazy week. Anyway, hurray for making time to put together a card! The image is called Piggy Bath. He is one of the many adorable digi images available at Meljen’s Designs Shop. You do not have to use a Meljen image to join in on the challenge…but it would be nice!

Pink patterned paper is by 3 Bugs in a Rug and the blue is from Sassafras. I used my Prismacolor markers, some ribbon, and a few sparkly hearts. Simple but cute.

This is my card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week. The challenge is to use stitching and as you know I am a huge fan of sewing on my cards. the image of course is a Penny Black called Pinky & Porky. You can find it here. They are having a sale that ends tomorrow- buy five items you get free shipping. I’m trying the no spending approach towards crafting supplies. It’s not all that exciting but I need to use up what I have. Anyway, the diamond patterned paper is a Sassafras (one of my personal favorite lines) and the turquoise patterned paper is by Making Memories. The Prima flower is from the Painterly Petals collection and the sweet brad is from K&Company. I used my Prismacolor markers to color the image.

I adore pigs. They have been my favorite animal since I was little. I purchased this pattern and find it super cute except the ears. The ears are too pointy for me. They look a little devilish. They still turned out pretty sweet. I also did a fox but will be scrapbooking it before it’s posted. Thanks for looking! Cards to come soon…

One of my regualrs asked me to post some farm animals for her to purchase. I made the patterns up myself. One day I’ll get a scanner and start posting some of my patterns for you to use. I hope you like them. I am still learning the art of the pattern making.

This card is a little more busy than my norm. My favorite part is the inside. I used the Home Accents cartridge for the leafy things (I’m not sure what they are called). I believe this is my only pig stamp and they happen to be my favorite animal. I’ll have to do something about that… The stamp is from Penny Black called “sealed with a kiss”.

I started an Easter layout today that I’ll post as soon as it’s done. It will be sportin’ my first ever tear bear (woohoo!). I’ll be doing a few more cards, some sewing, and some birhday prep (my daughter turns 2 next month) this coming week too.
