Project #8

I know, I come up with the best titles. I don’t know how anyone could resist after seeing such an awesome title. :)

My little family and I have a lot of people to thank these days. Between watching our kids, working on our house, and letting us stay at their house while it get fixed- I have some thank you catch up work to do. I started on this card last night while my husband did side job work and I waited for the dryer. I then had a hard time going to bed because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I turned out almost as well as I imagined it…almost.

I used Elmer the Elephant. He’s one of my favorite High Hopes Stamps. Very versatile. The stripe paper is from Daisy D’s and the green circle paper is from Scenic Route. I used my fancy new (I bought it before starting my project challenge) Fiskars Effervescence border punch (love it), my Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder, and my mom’s Mickey Font Cartridge (shhh, I’ve had it for months). Thanks mom!

I’m entering this card into the following challenges-

High Hopes- spacey colors (purple, blue, green)

Stamp with Fun- sketch

AIFactory Challenge- 5 embellishments total (I used 5 on the front, no one else shows the inside of their cards so I think that’s what they mean…I hope)

And my own personal challenge- don’t use any white

Project #2

I love this stamp from Whipper Snapper called Tweetie Pie. Isn’t it adorable!?! I finally inked it up. Anyway, I think it is. The main pattern paper is from Fancy Pants Design. The paper I used to cut out the letters is from Scenic Route.

I’m entering this card at this weeks Crafty Cardmakers.

This is my second post for the day so please scroll on down for my early card.

It’s High Hopes Challenge time! This weeks challenge is to go green and recycle. I took apart some silk flowers from a wreath for my recycled item. The dragon is stickled and him and his buddy the blue bird are 3D. The saying is computer generated. On the inside I embossed the work “thanks” with my cuttlebug and used sandpaper to make it more noticeable.

Something a little bit different than my norm. I made this card for the My Time To Craft Challenge. The challenge is to make a card that is quick and cute. I like to add all the bells and whistles so it was kind of odd to make a simple card. I like how it turned out though. The flower image is a free digi I found just a few days ago. Sadly, I was under my husbands log-in so I didn’t bookmark it and now I can’t find it again. All of the flowers and petals are 3D and colored with my Prismacolor markers.

Thank This Much Card

I had these big beautiful shiny bronze brads that matched her hair sitting out but I goofed and glued the card together before adding them. Glue dots are not forgiving and hold on for dear life. Oh well, the purple flowers work too. This little lady is an old school Whipper Snapper image from 2004 however, she is new to me. I love the big fabulous hair. Looking at her I think she needs some stickles added to her wings…yup. Hope you aren’t getting sick of the Whipper Snapper images yet. I stamped and embossed a bunch of them that are just calling my name.

I completed two Mickey invite rush orders today and boy, I’m feelin’ it. I’m actually shocked I sewed this card after sitting at the sewing machine for hours this afternoon. I have two more orders to do before Monday and then I hope to be able to get to a couple layouts and another candy wrapper project. I don’t know which is worse- getting stuck and running out of ideas or being overloaded with them.
