Our internet has been down for a few days and it has been torture. I have multiple posts today so check them all out. )

I love this turkey from Squigglefly. The polkadot patterned paper is from Basic Grey and the other is from Chatterbox. I made this card following multiple challenges:

Sketch Saturday- sketch

Caardvarks- color it

Simon Says- animal antics

Practical Scrappers- stitching

turkey card 001

I made this Thanksgiving turkey card following the challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot (give thanks). I used the Tiny Bubbles embossing folder on the feathers. The stamp is from Inkadinkado and the turkey patterns is from myscrapchick.

I kept this card a little more simple than my norm. I think I over do it sometimes which ends up taking away from the final card. I am entering this fab creation into three challenges- The ABC Challenge (embossing), the Saturday Challenge (celebration- Thanksgiving is a fantastic celebration especially this year since my baby will finally be coming), and Crazy 4 Challenges (stitching). I love challenges!!

I’ve been skeptical about the whole digi stamp thing. I like something tangible. Something I can hold in my hand, carry with me, and sell again once I’m bored with it to get something new. When I saw a card with this image called Thy Cart Overfloweth from Squigglefly I decided to try it out. I’m still torn. I adore the image, the fact that I can change the images size, the smaller price tag, and that I got the instant gratification of having the image as soon as I paid for it. I don’t like that I most likely will accidentally delete or lose the image since I am computer illiterate, that I can’t emboss the image (something about embossing warms my heart), and there is no selling it if and when I get bored with it. There are some dang cute digi images out there though that are hard to resist.

I’ve been dying to use my new High Hopes images! Last night I finally made the time (if one a.m. is a time) to make a card with this fabulous turkey. This weeks challenge at the High Hopes Stamps blog is to use your favorite image. It’s really impossible to choose just one. I love them all! I’ve been looking for a good turkey stamp for sometime though so this little guy made me really excited to break out the embossing powder.

The sentiment is by Inky Antics. The plaid paper is from Chatterbox and the pumpkin paper is from Reminisce. The leaves are Dress It Up buttons that I’ve cut the shanks off of. The turkey was colored with my Prismacolor Markers and then I added stickles to his feathers. His body is 3D.

I told myself I’d make a card today. It’s been a stressful busy couple of days and I needed some fun time. So here I am at twelve thirty posting a card I just finished. I’m not a late night kind of girl anymore since my daughter gets me up at the crack of dawn. About the card- the pics aren’t my best ever do to the late hour and lack of natural light but here it is. All stamped images are from Inky Antics. The plaid paper is from Chatterbox and the pumpkin paper is from Reminisce. I’ve had these stamps for at least 6 months now but was seriously lacking on the Thanksgiving paper. I bought these today with matching ribbon and had some matching leaf buttons too. Alas, they didn’t make it on to the card, lol. I guess that means I am all set for my next fall card.
