Paper Tree

Last night we had a Young Women’s activity to get ready for our ward Christmas party. We made these fun paper trees using paper plates and 1X3 inch strips of pattern paper for table decorations. You form your paper plates into cone shapes hot gluing them too stay. Most of the girls used three or four plates to make tall skinny trees. I made a fat tree using two. Then curl your papers strips with a pencil and glue them on. I cut the bottom of my strips to give a fringe look as well. The star topper came from a cheap garland purchased at Hobby Lobby. My glitter gold cone trees are purchased from Target.Other projects you might like:

This weeks challenge at Squigglefly is clean and simple and add some blue. I think clean and simple is a hard challenge to do but I did my best. I used the image “Willow” by artist Richard Davis. I’m back with yet another Christmas card. Today’s card has some fabulous hand cut trees sewn on (at least I think they are fabulous). For the snow I used the snowflake cuttlebug folder and the stamp is from Stampendous. All the patterned papers are from a Christmas stack I bought a long time ago that I no longer remember who from. Sorry.

No new card today but hey, it’s still early. Here are a few paper piecings I put together. A skunk, owl, pine tree, and wolf. The animals are made using a pattern from myscrapchick. Thanks for checkin’ in!
