I started this card a few days ago for the High Hopes Challenge. This week the challenge is “lotsa layers.” This card has a whopping 21 layers not including the pull tag. “Pull out” is this weeks challenge at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge so I made a pocket with a pull tag on the inside of my card. I love challenges!!
I used High Hopes Delia Angel stamp. The fabulous sparkly patterned papers are from My Minds Eye. As usual the card has 3D elements and sewing as well as some serious stickles. Sadly, I am now out of glue dots again. Any suggestions on a better adhesive to put my cards together with is welcomed! I like the oomph of the glue dots but it takes a ton of them. I go through glue dots like they are going out of style.
I’m a little swamped right now so I didn’t think I’d have time to get a card up for the next few days however, I couldn’t sleep last night so I used my time wisely (in my opinion). I made this card following the sketch challenge this week for Mojo Monday. The stamp is by Whipper Snapper and both patterned papers are from Making Memories. I used my Prismacolor markers to color the image which has 3D elements as well.
My dear husband is working on giving my site a face lift. Hopefully there will be some more color up soon. I am super excited to have my new logo up for all to see!! I love it! I have business cards on the way too that I will send out with my invitation/card orders. A fabulous designer who happens to be an old dear friend put a lot of talent and thought into it. I made this card to join in on the OCC Challenge. I’ve never done one of the challenges before but couldn’t pass up Christmas in August. I was bummed when looking through my stamps that I didn’t have a super cute Christmas image and then I remember my recent Whipper Snapper order. This image is called Two Turtle Doves. I thought for sure my new set of 48 markers would be enough but with all the shading I was grasping for more colors. Sad. I think they turned out pretty wonderful though. I tried to go simple so that the image would be the star.
